A young King Arthur dreams of a kingdom ruled by right, not might — and founds the Round Table.
By chance, he meets and weds his queen, Guenevere.
Then the noble Lancelot arrives from France — and he and the queen fall, against all honour, in love.
Arthur's son Mordred exposes the lovers, forcing the king to choose between the law he built and the people he loves.
Guenevere is condemned; Lancelot's rescue ignites a war between former friends.
As his dream falls, Arthur asks one young boy to keep the story of Camelot alive.
